The codes start with the digits 4, 7 or 8. On the plate are displayed Manufacturer part number, OEM number and Model Number. What interests you is only S/N or Serial Number.
Identification OEM turbo Toyota code
The OEM code for older models can only consist of 5 digits, for example 54090, to which 17201 is added at the beginning and we get the turbine code 17201-54090.
Identification of OEM turbo Mitsubishi code
The OEM code of the Mitsubishi or MHI turbochargers consists of 5 digits, which usually start with the figure 4, followed by (-), and another 5 digits. For example:
49189-01000 sau 49377-0304
Sometimes only the last 2 digits of the prefix are used, e.g. 73-06100, which is actually 49173-06100

Identification OEM turbo 3K code (Borg Warner, KKK)
The most common are series K, KP or BV and begin with the number 5, followed by a group of 4 characters, then (-), other 3 characters, another (-), and finally the last series of 4 characters. For example:
5304-970-0049 = 5304-988-0049 It is the same turbine, only in the middle can be 977 or 988.
For certain turbines of the K0 or KP series, OEM codes are abbreviated, as in the following examples:

The OEM code of the IHI turbine consists of SPEC number (the code you need) and family number. In the picture above PSEC is VJ27.
